Specimen Book

Arguably the greatest punk-rock band to come from the alleyways, The Ramones were the unofficial kings of New York City during the ‘70s & ‘80s. Along with their unforgettable grittiness, came some iconic album covers. The Ramones’ 1976 self-titled album offered a black & white mugshot of the quartet posing against a brick wall. Above, RAMONES, in on of my favorite typefaces - Franklin Gothic. I created a Franklin Gothic specimen book, that is themed around The Ramones.
